Hijama is one of the most common treatments in alternative medicine for treatment and it also is an ancient medical method that was used to treat many diseases in the Islamic era, because people were ignorant of the causes of diseases and how to heal them too, and the therapeutic means were very limited and not effective as needed. Types of Hijama.

There are 2 types of Hijama but your therapist will light a combustible item such as alcohol, herbs, or paper in a cup during both types of cupping. They turn the cup upside down on your skin when the fire goes out.

 

First: wet cupping

Wet cupping is a variation of the procedure using scalpels where prior to the cup being placed, your skin is punctured and blood is drawn out in the suction process.

Second: dry cupping.
